The Ruth and Boaz Fellowship is a ministry of The Fountain Of Life Church, specifically established for executive singles (35yrs and above), separated, divorced, widows and widowers in the church and the society at large. It became apparent to our Senior Pastor, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, that there exists an ever increasing percentage of mature singles, single parents, divorcees, widows and widowers in the Christian community and that adequate support was not being given to this group of saints in the church. This informed the birth of the Ruth and Boaz Ministry in The Fountain Of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, and our inaugural fellowship was held on the 12th of April 2008.

Though our members are from different local assemblies, we are one and the same in Christ. The aim of this fellowship by God’s grace, is to provide support for this group of people, meeting their specific needs, spiritually, financially, physically and emotionally through God’s Word. It will provide a secure and conducive environment for members, where their views can be freely expressed, and problems shared, thus giving them a clearer vision of the beauty of their challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead of them. We intend to provide a support network to enable members cope better with daily challenges as it affects their varied/multi-faceted needs and most importantly, give them ONE MORE REASON TO GO ON.
We have recently held our first Ruth and Boaz meeting in USA, and we are looking forward to launching out in other countries.

We have seen God move in various aspects of the ministry, we have seen hope restored in the lives of people that initially thought all hope was lost. We have listened to various testimonies of God’s goodness in the lives of our members. We have seen men and women begin to walk with their heads held up high. We have learnt to share each other’s burdens in obedience to the law of Christ (Gal 6:2) and also learnt to wait patiently for God’s promises with each exhortation by Pastor Taiwo Odukoya at each meeting. While acknowledging that our trials, travails and challenges are real, we are learning to see them as stepping stones into the “rest” which the Lord has provided for us His children, even before we were born, by focusing on Our Lord Jesus Christ, rather than on ourselves and our circumstances. A number of our members have joined different departments within the ministry, using their time to serve the Lord rather than staying idle.
Our prayer for you today is that you will be blessed by your association with us, whether by attending the fellowship or reading our magazine, or by visiting our website and that in turn, you will be a blessing to all those that come in contact with you in the mighty name of Jesus.
